Permitted signs.
(1) Permanent banners.
(a) Affixed banner. Affixed vinyl banners are permitted for single nonresidential and residential uses in Pawtucket Rhode Island except when expressly prohibited. (2) Full Color banner. Wall banner area shall not exceed 1 square foot for each 1 linear foot of building frontage with any elevation containing a banner. A maximum of 160 square feet total (all banners) will be allowed for each business. When a member tenant space fronts a parking lot and a main access drive, 2 elevations may have bannerage. The tenant shall be allowed one wall banner for each of the elevations. Wall banners shall be mounted only the leaseable area of the propertys. If the building frontage is less than 60 feet, only one vinyl banner having presumed maximum area of 60 square feet shall be permitted.
(3) Pedestrian banners. Businesses in shopping centers containing 6 or more businesses and with whole covered pedestrian circulation shall be now allowed pedestrian bannerage. Each of these business frontage is permitted one hanging pedestrian banner, not to exceed 2 banners per business. Also, The nonilluminated pedestrian banners are limited to a maximum of 5 foot wide, 1 foot tall and are to be located directly perpendicular to the building facade, a minimum of 8 feet above grade. The pedestrian bannerage is considered in addition to tenant identification bannerage.
(c) Temporary banners.
(4) Construction banners. One construction banner shall be permitted on a site, in any area, provided that an active building permit is present, except where specifically prohibited. The banner may not be internally illuminated and may not exceed a 32 square feet.
(5) Real estate banners. In any area, 2 real estate banners shall be permitted on any building site, not to exceed the following square feet :
