File Requirements for Upload

Please Follow These Guidelines for Best Results:

***********************************

1. The preferred format is the .jpg. JPGs are universally accepted, provide excellent print characteristics and facilitate online proofing. Submit your .jpg at 100 dpi. and at the exact size of the banner you are ordering, Use no bleeds. For a 2X4 banner this would mean setting your file size to 24"X48" and a resolution of 100 dpi. 100 dpi is the industry standard for banners. Use a quality setting of no more than 10 for your .jpg compression. Using 12 gains you nothing except file size. Submitting a .jpg at 100 dpi allows us to give you an online proof and speeds processing of your order.

Caution: Whatever the file size/dimensions you submit to us we resize that file to the size of the banner you are ordering. IF THE FILE SIZE YOU SUBMIT DOES NOT MATCH THE SIZE OF THE BANNER YOU ARE ORDERING DISTORTION WILL OCCUR.

2. You may also submit .PDF and .AI files. We can normally provide an online proof for these file formats as well but not always, again, JPGs ARE UNIVERSAL AND WORK BEST. When submitting a .PDF or .AI file be sure that all design elements are contained within the boundaries of the actual artboard and the artboard matches exactly the size of the banner you are ordering. Set your resolution to 100 dpi for any raster graphics that are included in the image. Use the Abobe RGB 1998 color profile for best results. IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE TO CREATE OUTLINES OF ALL LIVE TEXT - I DO NOT HAVE EVERY FONT ON MY COMPUTER, FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THIS RULE WILL DELAY PRODUCTION OF YOUR BANNER AND IT IS THE MAIN REASON WE USED TO ONLY ACCEPT .JPG's

3. IMPORTANT DESIGN CONSIDERATION: Your banner will most likely not look the same as it does on your computer screen, monitors are backlit, giving a false impression of high contrast that will not transfer to your printed banner. Caution, use only high contrast combinations to increase your sign's visibility. Good examples include: Black letters on white background, black or dark red letters on a bright yellow background, white on black, white on dark green, dark red on white. The combinations are endless, just remember, ask yourself will this color combination present with high contrast in the real world, not how does it look on my monitor. Customers frequently make the mistake of using poor contrast combinations such as purple letters a on black background, or the worst of all, yellow letters on a white background. If you have difficulty determining what is high contrast just look at some signs on the highway. IMPORTANT NOTICE ON COLOR MATCHING: Calabrating our printers output to match what you see on your computer screen is unfortunately completely impossible, this is something you should consider when ordering digital graphics via the internet, exact color matches are simply not possible. However for best results SAVE ALL ARTWORK WITH THE ADOBE 1998 COLOR PROFILE, AND ALWAYS AVOID USING GRADIENTS IN YOUR DESIGNS

Follow these 3 points when creating your print file and we guarantee you'll love your banner.
